Meeting 5th of October
God afternoon everybody
On the agenda today:
1)Official papers: E111
2)Passport! Get your own!
3)Insurance: Check with your parents. Your electronics should be covered under "the home insurance", check if it applies when you are abroad
4) Clothes: Anybody interested in Snowco?!?
We want you opinions on
1° lesson after 3pm. How many would like to stay on the slopes? every day? As you probably know, the council has cancelled the course for skiing supervision which means we (leaders) are not insurred to stay with you all alone on the slopes. Instructors will be available (but that an extra costs...)
2° evening events: Things you would like to do / things you really want to avoid!!!

3° Lesson in Aberdeen on the dry ski slope. (better to have some experience / know how to stand up on skis before going to the BIG mountains)
Room allocation?
Fitness lesson have already started with Mr Hobson (day + time?)
Italian lesson will start after the October break!

Getting ready for the trip!
We are going to have 2 on going events to prepare you physically and mentality for the trip.
We will host Italian classes to teach you a few phrases and we will have a physical preparation to help your body to last the whole week of skiing.

The accomadation in itself
Foyer Don Bosco
The Foyer Don Bosco is not actually a hotel, but it's a fabulous place for school/college groups and is specifically geared to their requirements. The Foyer Don Bosco is situated in the delightful village of Pré St Didier and it is only approximately 6 minutes by coach to the cable car.
The bedrooms are nicely furnished and all have private facilities. Rooms are mostly for 2, 3 or 4 people and some have balconies. In addition, there is a fantastic games room (table tennis, table soccer, board games etc) and an outside courtyard with basketball hoop. There is also a chapel, meeting room and lounge. Meals are self-service style (so great for kids!). Please be aware that, whilst the food is excellent, the Foyer does use plastic knives, plates and forks. The Foyer Don Bosco can accommodate groups of up to approximately 80.

Probably the most internationally renowned of Interski's three resorts, Courmayeur boasts 100 kms of exciting downhill runs, from easy to challenging. The Baby Bowl is a great beginners area. Safe and secure. Ideal for learning. For intermediates, Courmayeur is a 'red run heaven' – loads of wide pistes of varying gradients.
Nestling comfortably at the foot of mighty Mont Blanc, Courmayeur is a delightful, old traditional Alpine village, at the heart of which is a maze of interesting, narrow cobbled alleys. Largely traffic- free, it is lined with charming shops. In addition, there are some fabulous restaurants and some great, atmospheric bars.

The village we are staying: Pré St. Didier
Pré Saint Didier is a charming village situated in the Aosta Valley.The village of Pré St Didier was once a popular spa resort and, as far as Interski clients are concerned, it's a great place to stay. There are a number of shops, a large indoor swimming pool with flume, a bank, a post office, church and some pleasant village walks.
